Print, sign, scan, chase. Then do it again.

An emailed PDF comes back late, half filled in, or as a photo of a page on a car bonnet. EasySign keeps your document and walks the signer through it, so it comes back finished.

Four steps, start to finish

How it works
  1. 1

    Upload your PDF

Use the agreement you already have. Place the fields and mark each one as yours to fill or the signer’s.

  2. 2

    Fill your side and send

Add the details only you know, apply your saved signature if you use one, and send the link.

  3. 3

    They follow the Next button

On any device: their details, a Yes or No for each option, initials on each page, signature last.

  4. 4

    Everyone gets the copy

The completed PDF goes to everyone with a certificate of completion, and is filed against the contact.

What it does

Made for the agreements a business sends every week, not for one-off forms.

All features
Your own PDF, unchanged
Your pages stay exactly as they are. Answers and signatures go on top; nothing is retyped.
Sender and signer fields
Each field is marked for you or for the signer, so nobody fills in the wrong part.
Guided signing
Signers are taken through each step in order, with Yes/No choices and initials per page.
Works on phones
Every step is made for a small screen, so a client can sign on the phone in their pocket.
Reminders and expiry
Reminders go out on their own, and links stop working after a set time.
A record that holds up
A certificate of completion with names, emails, IP addresses, times and every event.

In daily use at Importify

Importify imports vehicles into New Zealand. Since 29 September 2026 its import service, sales and purchase agreements have gone out through the signing system EasySign is built on, on Importify’s own signing site. When a customer pays for an import request online, the agreement is created and sent with no staff step.

Built to stand up later

A signature is only worth what you can show about it. This is what EasySign records; the security page has the detail.

Security
  • Sealed when complete

A digital seal (PAdES) with an outside timestamp. Change the file and the seal breaks; anyone can check a copy at sign.easysign.nz/verify.

  • Checked before signing

A one-time code to the signer’s email, and an optional access code per request.

  • Marked on every pageBeing built

The signer ID and envelope ID on each page, so pages cannot be swapped quietly.

  • Signing records in Sydney

Signing records hosted in Sydney, Australia. Documents stored on Cloudflare R2, requested in its Oceania region (best effort). Hash-chained audit trail.

EasySign signatures meet the legal requirements for a signature under New Zealand and Australian law for most business documents.

Some documents are excluded, such as wills, some powers of attorney and sworn statements. The legal basis page sets out the law in each country and what it leaves out. General information, not legal advice.

Questions

All questions
Is an electronic signature legally binding in New Zealand?

For most business documents, an electronic signature meets the legal requirements for a signature. Under section 226 of the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017, it does if it adequately identifies the signer, shows they approved the document, and is as reliable as the purpose calls for. Some documents are excluded, such as wills, affidavits and some powers of attorney. See /legal. This is general information, not legal advice.

Does it work for Australian clients?

Yes. EasySign is built for New Zealand and Australian businesses. In Australia, the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth) and each state and territory’s own Act set similar tests: a method that identifies the person and shows their intention, is reliable enough, and that the other party consents to. Some documents are exempt. See /legal. This is general information, not legal advice.

Which documents should not be signed electronically?

In New Zealand the law excludes, among others, wills and codicils, affidavits and statutory declarations, some powers of attorney, negotiable instruments and bills of lading. Australia has its own exclusions. If a document has to be sworn, witnessed in a particular way or registered, check the rules for it first. The legal basis page has the detail (/legal).

Does my client need an account to sign?

No. They get a link by email and follow the Next button through each thing they need to do: fill in their details, choose Yes or No where there is an option, initial each page and sign last. It works on a phone, tablet or computer.

Can I use my own PDF?

Yes. Upload the PDF you already use, then place the fields on it and mark each one as yours to fill before sending or the signer’s to fill. Your pages stay exactly as they are; EasySign adds the answers, initials and signatures on top, then a signature page and a certificate of completion at the end.

What does everyone get when it is signed?

Everyone gets the completed PDF: the original pages unchanged, a signature page, and a certificate of completion listing each signer’s name, email, IP address and signing time, with the full event history. The copy is also filed against the contact, so you can find it again.
